Shaggy is 1-2 on iTunes, reports

The increasing popularity Shaggy's newest single called I Need Your Love is having a guggle effect on some of his earlier tracks. As per, As per the iTunes Reggae list, Angel and It Wasn't Me, presently keeps the top 2 spots.

Both tracks are from his 2000 album named Hot Shot.
Hot Shot was the top charting studio album in 2001 on Billboard Year-End Album Charts, and divested The Beatles on Billboard 200 album list in February 2001. The Top-5 spots are completed by Matisyahu (One Day), UB40 (Red Red Wine) and Bob Marley & the Wailers (Three Little Birds) finish iTunes Top 5.

Speaking to a leading Jamaica based newspaper, Shaggy told that his newest single is bringing the old ‘Brand Shaggy’ back to the minds of listeners. He told that a few research was done and it was stated that persons are reconnecting with the Shaggy brand having hearing to the brand new track. This link is all to the older music. Therefore, it is not surprising that the songs are back on the charts. This is just how it works and the new track has made it easier.

He added there was no marketing issue on his part. This reveals that people are still listening to these tracks. Both these singles are classics anyway. When they make them, they make them good, so they could be timeless.
The track ‘I Need Your Love’ is presently holding the No 39 position on Billboard list.
